GIS Integration Lead

The selected candidate may choose to work remote in a home office in the United States, or in our Ann Arbor, Michigan location.
Your Role:As a GIS Integration Lead, reporting to the Director of Service Delivery, your main responsibility will be to oversee the implementation of Geonexus software for both new and existing clients. In this role, you will actively support customers during their onboarding journey by facilitating workshops on technical and functional requirements, handling software installation and configuration, conducting user admin training, and providing best practices for effective product adoption and long-term success. You will manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously, working both onsite with clients and remotely through online tools and web conference calls.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation and upgrades of the Geonexus Integration Platform.
• Participate in project kick-offs to review scope, deliverables, and timelines.
• Facilitate customer workshops to gather and document requirements.
• Manage software installation, configuration, and testing.
• Consult with customers on data cleanup and migrations.
• Guide and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Train end users on Platform use and best practices.
• Support software quality by reporting and retesting defects.
• Troubleshoot system and performance issues during implementation.
• Oversee go-live processes and provide post-launch support.
• Contribute to customer success stories, presentations, and internal documentation. 
• Foster strong, long-term customer relationships.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS (ArcMap or ArcPro) and a strong grasp of geodatabases, Esri web services, and the Utility Network.
• Familiarity with RESTful services and basic networking, including database connections and firewall troubleshooting.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Ability to manage database user accounts and permissions.
• Practical experience using SQL with ability to write complex queries with joins to multiple tables.
• Understanding of system integration concepts including primary and foreign keys, field data mappings, data translations, and domains.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Desire to learn and solve complex customer workflows.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and an effective communicator.
• Willingness to learn new asset management systems.
• Eligible to work in the USA without visa sponsorship.

Ideally, You’ll Have:

• Experience integrating Esri ArcGIS with enterprise utility systems like SAP, Maximo, Oracle CC&B, Oracle Cloud Utilities, HxGN, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of data integration technologies such as iPaaS, ESB, FME, or similar middleware.
• Experience working with multi-tenant databases.
• Familiarity with Schneider ArcFM.
• Understanding of asset-intensive sectors like utilities, telecommunications, public works, water and wastewater, and transportation.
• Knowledge of asset management concepts, including asset hierarchy, location and asset relationships, work orders, and service requests.
• Ability to read and manipulate XML.
